Exam prep & CS education

Completing the MPPSC application form 2026 involves more than entering personal details. For Assistant Professor Computer Science applicants, the correct advertisement, qualification deadline and paid application receipt matter just as much as the submission date.
This guide covers Assistant Professor Computer Science Advertisement 28/2025, continuing our CS recruitment series. It does not use the State Service examination’s registration calendar or fee rules.
Updated: 22 October 2026. The dates below follow the official 7 September corrigendum; the form instructions and base fees come from the original Computer Science notification. Check for later official changes before submitting or paying.
MPPSC Application Form 2026: Key Details
Item | Assistant Professor Computer Science |
|---|---|
Commission | Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission |
Advertisement | 28/2025, dated 30 December 2025 |
Application mode | Online |
Ordinary application deadline | 1 October 2026 |
Final late-fee application date in the revised schedule | 4 November 2026 |
Qualification cutoff | 1 October 2026 |
Written examination | 29 November 2026 |
The ordinary application window has closed. As of 22 October, the published schedule places applicants within the ₹25,000 late-fee window, subject to the official portal remaining available and any subsequent amendment. That amount is an additional late fee, not the complete application charge.
MPPSC Application Form Last Date 2026
Application or correction activity | Revised window |
|---|---|
Ordinary applications | 2 September–1 October 2026 |
Ordinary corrections | 7 September–3 October 2026 |
Applications with ₹3,000 late fee | 2–8 October 2026 |
Applications with ₹25,000 late fee | 9 October–4 November 2026 |
Corrections for late-fee applicants | Until 6 November 2026 |
Keep three dates separate: the application deadline, the correction deadline and the qualification cutoff. An available correction window does not mean new applications are still accepted under the ordinary-fee route.
Late submission does not extend eligibility. The September corrigendum requires all qualifications by 1 October 2026, including for late-fee applicants.
For example, earning a required qualification on 10 October does not become acceptable because the late-fee application window continues into November.
MPPSC Application Fees 2026
The original notification specifies these base examination/application fees:
Applicant category | Base fee |
|---|---|
Eligible Madhya Pradesh-domiciled SC, ST, OBC non-creamy-layer, EWS and disability-category applicants | ₹250 |
Remaining categories and applicants domiciled outside Madhya Pradesh | ₹500 |
Check your domicile and category evidence before selecting a concession. A reserved-category certificate from another state does not automatically entitle you to the Madhya Pradesh concession.
Late fees apply in addition to the base fee. Under the published ₹25,000 window, the base-plus-late-fee amount is ₹25,250 for an eligible ₹250-fee applicant or ₹25,500 for a ₹500-fee applicant. These calculations exclude any applicable portal or service charges; use the official payment screen for the final payable amount.
The original form instructions set a ₹50 charge per correction session. A change from a concession category to a non-concession category can also require the fee difference. Do not assume every category change produces a refund.
Documents and Details to Prepare Before Registration
Prepare a small application folder before opening the form:
Class 10 certificate or mark sheet showing your name and date of birth.
Postgraduate qualification details, marks and any applicable grade conversion.
NET/SET details or the evidence supporting a claimed PhD exemption.
Domicile, category, non-creamy-layer, EWS or disability certificates where applicable.
A recent passport-size colour photograph and a clear scanned signature.
An accessible mobile number and email address for communication.
The notification’s photo instructions call for a clear face, a light background and visible eyes without reflections. Avoid a selfie and use the current portal’s file-format and size requirements rather than assuming a generic upload specification.
Keeping certificates ready does not mean every certificate must be uploaded with the initial form. The notice distinguishes the photo/signature upload from documents required for later scrutiny. Upload what the current form requests and retain the supporting originals.
How to Apply Online for MPPSC Assistant Professor CS 2026
Step 1: Open the official application route
Start from the MPPSC website or MPOnline link identified in the official notification. Select Assistant Professor Computer Science, Advertisement 28/2025. Do not choose a State Service form or an older CS recruitment because the title looks similar.
Step 2: Read the instructions and confirm eligibility
Check your exact degree title, marks, qualifying route, age reference date and certificate position. Resolve an eligibility doubt before making a large late-fee payment. The Assistant Professor eligibility checklist helps organise evidence; use the revised 1 October cutoff rather than an older worked example’s date.
Step 3: Complete registration and application details
Follow the portal’s registration or applicant-identification steps. Enter names and date of birth consistently with your records, then fill qualification, category, domicile and contact fields. Keep any generated application number safely. If you lose track of your form, check the recovery or application-status option before submitting another application.
Step 4: Upload the photograph and signature
Check the uploaded previews for clarity and correct orientation. Confirm that the signature belongs to the applicant and that neither upload is cropped or unreadable.
Step 5: Review before submission
Compare the preview with your documents. Pay particular attention to the subject, category, marks, date of birth and contact details. The original notice restricts correction of the candidate’s name, making this check especially important.
Step 6: Pay and save the completed application
The notification explains that submission can generate an application number while the form remains unpaid. Complete the payment stage and save the application/receipt containing the fee details and “Payment Done” confirmation.

Payment Problems and Application Status
Treat a bank debit and a completed application as two separate checks. If money is debited but the portal does not show successful payment, retain the transaction reference and check the application/payment status before paying again.
Use the help route given on the official application page when the two records disagree. Do not post bank details, passwords or personal documents in public comments. Keep the paid application, receipt and transaction reference together so the issue can be traced.
MPPSC Application Correction Process
Use the correction facility within the applicable window, review the fields it permits and pay the required correction charge. Save the corrected application and acknowledgement afterwards.
A correction facility is not permission to make every possible change. Do not assume it can repair an ineligible degree, a qualification obtained after the cutoff or a field the commission has made non-editable.
After Submitting the Form
Keep your contact details accessible, monitor official subject notices and prepare for both papers. The revised schedule lists admit-card availability from 19 November 2026.
KnowledgeGate’s MPPSC Paper 1 course and Computer Science Paper 2 course support the two preparation tracks. Use the paper-wise syllabus guide to organise revision after checking the applicable official syllabus.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the MPPSC Assistant Professor CS application last date?
The ordinary deadline was 1 October 2026. The revised schedule allows applications with the ₹25,000 late fee through 4 November 2026, subject to official changes and portal availability.
Is registration enough to complete the application?
No. Save the submitted application and verify its successful payment status. An application number alone does not prove the fee was paid.
Can late-fee applicants acquire qualifications after 1 October?
No. The corrigendum retains 1 October 2026 as the qualification cutoff for late-fee applicants too.
What should I check before closing the portal?
Confirm the correct advertisement, accurate details, successful payment and a saved receipt. If you made a correction, retain the updated version as well.
