Wipro is a steady mass recruiter of freshers, and its hiring test has one feature most other companies do not: a written essay. If you are preparing for a Wipro drive and you only practise aptitude and coding, that essay section can quietly cost you the offer.
Which Wipro programme your drive belongs to changes what you should practise and how hard. The routes share an aptitude, reasoning and English core, they differ in how high the coding bar sits, and every one of them asks you to write under a clock. Four to six weeks is enough to cover all of it properly, provided you do not spend week five discovering the essay.
Wipro hiring routes: Elite NTH, Turbo and WILP
Wipro hires freshers through a few distinct programmes, and knowing which one your drive is helps you set the right depth:
Elite National Talent Hunt (NTH): the main mass-recruitment route for graduates.
Turbo: a higher-package route with a harder bar, aimed at stronger candidates.
WILP (Wipro's Work Integrated Learning Programme): the route that combines work with a degree, with its own eligibility and test.

Wipro test sections: what the online assessment covers

The essay is the section aspirants most often underprepare. Wipro asks you to write a short structured essay, and it is scored on clarity, structure and language, not on how much you write. A tidy three-paragraph essay with a clear position beats a rambling page. Practise writing a few under time before the drive so the format is familiar.
Wipro Elite NTH versus Turbo: where your hours should go
Route decides where your hours go, because hours cannot be spent twice. The aptitude, reasoning and English core is the largest block in the Superset syllabus and it transfers to every other recruiter you will sit, so it earns the first pass whichever route you are in. Treat coding and the essay as gates: clear them cleanly rather than trying to maximise them. Turbo sets a higher coding bar, so a Turbo aspirant moves hours into hands-on programming and away from extra arithmetic drills. An Elite NTH aspirant grinding advanced data structures, and a Turbo aspirant polishing percentages, both arrive underprepared exactly where it counted.

Wipro interview stage: what follows the online test
Clearing the online test moves you to the interview stage, and this is where the written-English work pays a second time: the communication round wants the same clear, structured expression the essay does, only spoken. On the technical side, prepare the subjects the Superset interview track is built around, DBMS and SQL, operating systems, and computer networks, to the depth where you can define a term, give an example, and say why it matters. Then revise the two projects on your resume until you can walk through your design decisions without hesitation. Aspirants who treat the interview as a formality after the "hard part" lose offers they had already earned.
A study plan for Wipro preparation
A practical split, assuming four to six weeks:
Weeks 1 to 2: aptitude, reasoning and English. These decide the screen and transfer to every other company, so the effort pays twice. Practise timed, not open-ended.
Weeks 2 to 4: coding plus essay practice. Two coding problems a day, and one timed essay a week. The essay takes very little time to prepare and is easy marks left on the table if you skip it.
Weeks 4 to 6: full-length mocks. Sit complete papers under exam conditions, review harder than you attempt, and rebuild the weakest section rather than re-solving your strong one.
The classic Wipro mistake is treating the essay as an afterthought discovered on exam day. Move it into your weekly routine early, and it stops being a surprise.
